This is the beginning of 1000 crappy pages so I can get to the good stuff.  Today I was listing in my head how my tales of illiberith born from 10th grade dnd games and fantasy movies of the 80's has some translation problems.

My influences were Dragonslayer the movie, The Conan Movie, Dnd of course, A set of Gor books I bought at a yard sale.  Lord of the rings.  and minor crushes on people who never even knew my name.  I'm talking to you Dale Mathews!

Ive developed a rich world thats frankenstitched with other peoples goods and names.  Andrew Cromwell the King of Crom. King Mathew of Dale.  Freehold.  Illiberith.  elves, humans, halfelves.  Vandal (ah billy idol as a dragon blooded slavelord) Talon (his twin because everyone needs a twin)

Tarrence Lightfoot my first dnd character (I wanted to play a princess and was told that was back story.  So we made her a theif)  Rill Garrison (my stepsisters attempt at cloning Aragorn) and then I Mary Sue'd myself when I created their son Tarry (cause in the McCaffry novels you merge the names of the parents)

This is the stuff I amuse myself with.   This landscape fills my thoughts as I shake the world around and make storylines.  Ive introduced my closest friends to this and we have freeform roleplayed through it changing the landscape

Now I want to write about this world.  But its full of slavery. some of it kinky (thank you John Norman and your Gor books.) And ive gotten uncertain about being a woman, white, and priveledged writing about slavery especially the kinky stuff.

Its also full of other peoples ideas.  but I think I can just strip off the names and rethink the ideas.

Like Switching Andrew Cromwells name to Talon.  I think would be fitting.  Maybe Talon Wyrmbane.
Because he is the son of a king and a dragoness.

Then his sons Talon and Vandle can become Oliver and Andrew although it might be worth changing oliver to a female to get a powerful womans perspective in a land of oppression.  Andrea and Victor then.

This has to be thought about some because lately Talon tried to raise an army to defeat his father by mating with the Drakes of Dragonridge and spawning shorterlived dragonmen.  His first brood have been really interesting as characters.  Im sure Andrea could do the same thing.....the cromwells need more thought.

Meth has opened the world of the fay and I like that and intend to keep it as is although Seth will need and new name (Seth of Meth amused me but says nothing of the King he is)

Freehold.  well the Whole name has to change.  It's too New Jersey.

Rill could stay the same but thinking about who he is and what he does he needs a name that means something.

Same with Sarra and Tarrence.  which means Tarry will also need a new name and a rose by anyother name will smell as sweet.

Im keeping Ruska.  Yes it is Russia complete with a Tzar.  It is the loand of winter and baba yaga and my mental accent of the Ruskan peoples makes me smile.

But Dale may become Valoria.  they are almost the same place really and land of magic and wizards and homeland of the dragon king.

Not touching the dragonlands or even referrancing them for all I know the dragons were pushed to the moon.

Persia has obvious problems and will likely be completely erased.

Dwarves, elves, magelings, helfelves. giants.

Mountian folk, Gifted, Valorian, Tainted.

names should have more meaning.  Im not sure if reskinning my world will be enough or turn it into something new. good or bad.
